I’ve known Mally since we were beauty-industry babies, but I don’t remember our very first meeting, because Mally is one of those people that feels like an old friend instantly. I can’t remember not knowing her in New York. If you’ve watched her on QVC, the smart, witty, slightly kooky (in a good way), warm persona you see there is exactly like she is in person. Ask anyone in the beauty industry: She's a gem.
Mally has worked with a long list of celebrity clients (Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, Lee Ann Womack, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Maggie Gyllenhaal), but she created her makeup line for real women and their everyday lives. Her products are user-friendly and affordable—and many come packaged with application tips from Mally herself. Do yourself a favor and watch Mally on QVC if you haven’t already. You'll want all of her products, and you'll feel like you've made a new friend.
But back to the purpose of this post. Mally is a super-successful beauty boss, but she’s also a wife and mother to three beautiful, young girls. Bottom line: She's crazy-busy. Thus, her summertime picks are mostly practical—from hard-working mascara to on-the-go breakfast options (which I plan to pick up at Whole Foods this weekend.)
