When The Best Gets Better
I’ve professed my love before for Cle de Peau Beaute's Concealer. It’s creamy but doesn't clog pores, it’s opaque but doesn’t cake or sink into lines, and it glides over most eye creams without pilling. It also lasts. When you put it on at 7 a.m., it’s still got you covered at cocktail hour. For years you couldn't find a better camouflage cream. Until now.
Beginning this month, the Cle de Peau Beaute’s Concealer formula will boast a broad-spectrum SPF 25. I think the sunscreen addition is pretty genius since the skin around our eyes ages faster than the rest of our faces—and, for many of us, it’s tricky to find a UV block that doesn't irritate. I’m wearing the new formula today and can’t tell a difference in feel or finish from the original. This is a good thing.
At $70, Cle De Peau Beaute's Concealer is pricier than the average coverup. But a little goes a very long way. My last tube kept me covered for almost two years, and when you do the math, that's about a dime a day. A beauty bargain, in my book.
The new Concealer is available in six shades. And if you're asking, I wear Ivory.
