Spend Or Skip? Rodan + Fields Lash Boost (4 weeks)
It has been three weeks and four days since I started my Lash Boost application. Rodan+ Fields says some (lucky ducks) may see results in as little as four weeks, while, for others, it can take closer to six to eight weeks. I think I fall in the latter group.
Without mascara, I see very little change in length and only a small improvement in fullness. I am not experiencing the Betty-Boop, Katie-like results I chronicled in my initial post. This may be due to the fact that I’m at least five years older and quite a bit blonder than Katie. But when I apply a coat or two of mascara, I do see some difference—primarily in symmetry.
What I mean by this: I’m right handed, but my left side is aging better. (Neal Schultz, MD, my dermatologist, tells me this is common, maybe just to make me feel better). My cheekbone and brow are both a bit higher on the left, my hair grows thicker on that side of my scalp—and the strip of lashes on my left eyelid has always been denser than my right. Whenever I have false lashes applied by a pro, he or she points this out. Like I’m not already aware. But, over the past two weeks, I’ve noticed a subtle evening out. I don’t have as many gaps in my right lash-line; in fact I'm pretty well-covered now, corner to corner. So that’s progress.
And there are other upsides. So far, unlike my experience with Latisse, my eyelids are not at all irritated. In fact, I find Lash Boost to be kind of soothing. And I’ve not had any issues with red, puffy eyes in the morning, even if some of the serum does migrate into my eyes accidentally.
Are any of you trying Lash Boost? I’d love to hear how it’s going. Leave a comment below or email me at genevieve@mediumblonde.com
