Fuller Hair in Five Seconds
If you've got fine, limp or thinning hair—or you just crave more body and volume, you should not live another day without Living Proof’s Full Dry Volume Blast.
When it first hit shelves last fall, I figured Dry Volume Blast was just another dry shampoo masquerading as a volumizing spray. But then I read about the unusual technology it employed (Living Proof’s formulas are often the quirky brainchildren of MIT scientists), and my interest was piqued. The spray contains ETAS, which are expandable, textured aero-spheres. In layman’s terms, this means that when these molecules are sprayed on your hair, they expand (kind of like startled blowfish). This expansion lasts hours, even days, as they can be revived with a little finger-tszujing. Also, unlike dry shampoo, there is no powder in the formula so you don’t get that tacky, matte finish.
On me, the spray provides amazing volume at the roots, where my hair tends to fall flat. It also provides light hold and allows me to shape my hair a bit, sort of like hairspray but without any stiffness. This product is not for everyone—if you have thick, coarse hair, you probably have no need for it. But if you have fine (or thinning) hair, a few spritzes at the roots will provide impressive fullness without flakes, powder, stickiness— or any of the other compromises we typically have to make when helping our hair achieve greater heights.
